As Napolean Dynamite would say - Girls only like guys that have great skills!!
So I will give you a few things to boost your SEO skill.. Here are a few things that have boosted my traffic on a very mature website http://www.djvibe.com/. #1 on Google "learn how to dj" #1 on google "dj videos" and many others I wont mention here..
I have been doing the SEO thing a while and it takes time to really figure out what works and what doesnt.
0) Get a STATS PROGRAM!!! and use it ( google analytics, webalizer etc).. if you dont know what your HOT content is then you cannot really optimize much.. so do your homework.
1) Title Tags
2a) Know your keywords + You what keywords are HOT (checkout overture - it tells you how many time a word has been searched on yahoo that day - its maybe 1/10th of Googles traffic but it gives you an idea of whats HOT http://searchmarketing.yahoo.com/rc/srch/ and click the keywork selector tool.
2b) Seo friendly directory structure on your site ex. djvibe.com/dj_interview/dj_tiesto IS GOOD for the keywords "dj tiesto interview"
3) Custom Meta tags for every page on your site.. I know this is boring but it works.
4) Break the site down.. instead of having all content on one page break it down into subpages and sub categories.. that way the content on the page is very specific to a certain subject.
5) Blogger.com Blogs.. blogs are great to drive traffic.. and now that google bought out blogger they love the blogs.. it have an ftp option in the settings that allows you to publish to your own domain and not the default .blogspot address. Register with all the blog directorys too....
6) Podcasting / iTunes
7) Youtube
8) Myspace
9) Froogle... lets you display your products in price searches and comparison on the web and through mobile devices (only for ecommmerce)
